The Team

We're a small team with a shared passion for sports cars and quality, good old-fashioned service. Through sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm, we aim to ensure our customers obtain maximum enjoyment and excitement from their motoring.

Phil Benfield manages car sales has a wealth of experience including several years at the 'sharp end' working as a mechanic.

Our Technicians in the workshop are Rob Batt and
Paul Ashby, both of whom have many years experience with Allon Whites and Matthew Bentley who joined us more recently. They are assisted by our new
Apprentice Technician, Steve Russell.

Shaun McGuire runs our Trim shop, and is assisted by his Father, John.  Between them they have over 60 years 'Coach Trimming' experience!

Supporting eveyone is Kaana, who runs the office, and John Bellenger, the owner of the business.

History

Allon White is a long established, family-type business. It was set up in 1918 as motor engineers, and as cars evolved, so did Allon White. Work handled along the way included having a major fleet of recovery vehicles looking after the newly opened M1 and running a British Leyland franchise.

The association with Morgan began around 1950, when the owner of the business at that time, Eric White, had a friend turn up to visit him in a 4/4 series 1. It was love at first sight and he knew he had to have one!

Like any good relationship there were challenges along the way, such as how Eric, a father of 3, could use a Morgan 2 seater as the main family car. However, such minor challenges were easily overcome and the relationship with Morgan blossomed, leading onto the major event of 1966 (and it was nothing to do with football!) when Allon White was appointed as Morgan agents for the East Anglia region.

Since 1966 Allon White has built up an enviable reputation for its quality of service and expertise in all things Morgan. As a result, we  are proud to have customers from all over the UK and Europe, and even further afield, lots of whom have been bringing their cars to us for many years.

As part of its continuing evolution, Allon White has built upon its knowledge of one of the world's oldest sports car marques to offer the sale and servicing of other quality, interesting and mainly British sports cars. This side of the business is developing all the time and complements well our Morgan reputation.
