These conversions are a joy to drive combining 70's Lotus charm with modern running gear. The car has a lovely interior, very good chrome, but the paintwork is average hence the price
More Details...
This 130 special edition was built as a John Player special (JPS) model in October 1973. This was the 89th JPS built out of 121 cars. 115 were for the Uk market.
The car was subject to a full restoration and Zetec conversion by Spyder Engineering in 2006 with a total spend at that time of £27,000. We have a large history folder with invoice history for the restoration and subsequent work carried out since.
This 2.0 litre Zetec is fitted with Emerald ECU with Jenvey Throttle bodies and rolling road tuned to 160 BHP.
Key work carried out in recent years includes a new brake servo, cylinder head gasket change, water pump, Full service, timing belt, alloyuprated radiator and cooling fan. These works were carried out by Spyder.
Total mileage of the car from 1973 is unknown. Mileage showing is from the time of the total rebuild.
The roof is probably the worst area for the paint defects the rest of the paintwork is quite good.
