The Morgan Roadster was introduced in 2004 as a replacement for the Plus 8. The car is identical to its predecessor except for its more modern Ford V6 mechanicals. The new engine develops similar power to the V8, though less torque. It is also slightly lighter than the Rover V8 which results in increased performance and better fuel economy.

Like its predecessor, the chassis consists of a standard ladder frame design and is built from galvanised steel with five tubular or box section cross members. The body is built of steel and aluminium around an ash frame.

Suspension is traditional Morgan slider type up-front and solid axle and leaf spring at the rear. The car is powered by a 3.7-litre V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 5 seconds and has a top speed of 140 mph. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard.

The Roadster 3.7 features a traditional Morgan design with a classic, retro look. It has a hand-crafted body mounted on a steel chassis, with a traditional front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout.

 This style of 4 seater was introduced in 2006 and ran up to 2016. Normally spec'd as Plus 4 4 seaters. Roadster examples are extremely rare to find.

The rear seats fold flat to increase luggage space for that touring holiday or the ideal size for children up to teenage age.
