Lotus Elise S1 Soft Top Repairs

Our trimshop can repair or refurbish the soft tops for S1 Elises. Examples include:

• Replace plastic lip at front of soft top £200
• Full overhaul of soft top £250
• Full overhaul including clean and reproof £400

When replacing the plastic lip, we also rebind the whole perimeter of the soft top.

The full overhaul includes replacing plastic lip, rebinding edges, restitching as needed, replacing tail piece elastics.

Currently we can carry out work to black, blue, red and green soft tops.

Not all soft tops will be repairable. If they are too old and worn, the fabric loses its strength and integrity and cannot satisfactorily take any form of restitching. We are always happy to advise on what is possible.

Also, please note that we use thread that matches the colour of the soft top (i.e. as Lotus did originally).  However, over time thread bleaches in colour and it is quite normal for the thread in older soft tops to be a silver-grey colour. There will therefore be a mis-match between old thread and new thread.
