The original Morgan Plus 4 was launched in 1950. There was then a gap in production from 1969 to 1984, and on relaunch became a firm favourite of the Morgan range. The Ford Duratec engined Plus 4 was launched in 2005 and was then updated to the GDI version of the engine in 2014. This Plus 4 produces 145 BHP and has a five speed gearbox.
Altough the original power was 145BHP , this example with the uprated air filter and exhaust produces around 150-155BHP.
The Plus 4 runs with slightly wider wings and tyres to improve road holding compared to the Morgan 4/4, and is a joy to drive either on local country roads or long distance touring holiday.
